Social media was set ablaze after Sarkodie's Rapperholic concert in Kumasi, but the online buzz inadvertently dragged his colleague, Stonebwoy, into criticism.

While everyone was praising Sarkodie online, an old post comparing his concert to Stonebwoy's suddenly brought negative attention to the BHIM Nation boss.

One social media user shared a clip from Stonebwoy’s 2023 BHIM Concert, captioning it with lyrics from one of his songs to celebrate the artiste.

"Ah never go tell dem to fake it till they make it, Ah rasta tell them to practice and Perfect it," the user posted.

However, many felt that the post contained a subtle jab at Sarkodie and others.

Things escalated when Stonebwoy quote-tweeted the netizen's post and added the caption, “Historic.”

This single word ignited a wave of backlash, with numerous users accusing Stonebwoy of jealousy and attempting to dim Sarkodie's successful night.

However, defenders of Stonebwoy were quick to counter the narrative.

They pointed to another post made by Stonebwoy in the lead-up to the Rapperholic concert, where he shared a video of Sarkodie dancing with the same “Historic” caption.

Stonebwoy's supporters argued this demonstrates consistent praise for his colleague and not bitterness.

They pointed out that Stonebwoy's quoting of the post of the concert was in no way a jab at anyone and was just a standalone post.

Meanwhile, the debate over Stonebwoy's motives comes just as Sarkodie recently expressed interest in a future collaboration.

Sarkodie stated in an interview that he would like to feature Stonebwoy at a future Rapperholic event.

Despite the online commotion, other fans have also noted a professional respect between the two industry giants.
