BET Award winner and Ghanaian music superstar, Stonebwoy has closed the door to a possible collaboration with self-acclaimed Dancehall King, Shatta Wale when he made an appearance on Ghana’s biggest celebrity and lifestyle show, Celebrity Fanzone last Saturday on Viasat1.

Stonebwoy, who lost out on the biggest award during the recently held VGMAs to colleague musician, EL, was quick to congratulate the new Artiste of the Year, revealing that EL is even a an extended family member.

Stonebwoy, despite all his hard work in the 2015, picked up only two awards during the 2016 VGMAs; Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of The Year and Reggae/Dancehall Song of The Year.

When co-host, Chantelle Asante asked whether he had any intentions of doing any collaboration with the 2013 Artiste of the Year, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy declined to comment and stated flatly, “next question.” He later maintained that he had no intentions of doing collaboration with Shatta Wale in the short term.

“I think the fans should enjoy more of us small for now,” the ‘Baafira’ hit maker stated.

Stonebwoy in the past has expressed his disappointment in Shatta Wale and the Shatta Movement family for certain remarks made about him, which he believed were derogatory and unsavory.

Meanwhile, there are increasing concerns about the depth of profanity in the latest song released by Shatta Wale. Many celebrities and fellow musicians including EL have expressed their disproval and disgust at the content and title of the song.

Celebrity Fanzone airs every Saturday at 9pm and repeated on Wednesday at 11am on Viasat1.
