Entertainment pundit Vida Adutwumwaa has disclosed that Ghanaian dancehall artiste Stonebwoy is planning to take his concert experience to every region in Ghana to connect with fans outside Accra.
According to her, the overwhelming response from residents in the Volta Region during the activities leading to the show proved that the initiative was a great decision.
Speaking in a discussion on UTV’s United Showbiz on March 8, 2026, Vida said the moment she realised the event would be successful was during a community walk held ahead of the show.
“The moment I realized the show would be successful was when we went for the walk. The Saturday before the event, we went for a walk. The crowd that came out to walk with us shocked me, including old men and women. The walk was really lengthy. Every junction we get to, we see people waiting to join us,” she said.
She explained that the walk served as a way of engaging the community while also building excitement for the event.
“As we’re staying fit, we’re also energizing the fanbase that were around for them to know what we were up to. They told us that something like that have never happened there before,” she stated.
Vida Adutwumwaa also noted that residents were fascinated by the preparations for the event, often gathering each night just to watch the stage and venue being set up.
“Every night as we were setting up the place, people came around just to watch what we were doing. They were surprised that something of this sort could come to their town,” she shared.

She further stated that although Stonebwoy normally hosts his major shows in Accra every December, the decision to take the show to other regions was meant to bring the experience closer to fans who may not have the opportunity to travel to the capital.
“Stonebowy normally organizes his show in Accra every December and some people would also want to watch him perform but they’re far from Accra. That’s why he decided to take the show close to the people,” she said.
Vida Adutwumwaa revealed that the artiste intends to host similar events across the country.
“He is also planning to host the event in every region to showcase his talent to Ghanaians,” she noted.
She added that the event in the Volta Region also created a platform for emerging talents in the area, with 21 upcoming artistes given the opportunity to perform.
“When he chose the Volta region, we asked him why the Volta, but when we got there, that’s when we realized he chose right. They had 21 upcoming artistes in the Volta region. Stonebwoy allowed them to show what they have,” she stated.
According to her, the artistes performed one after the other, with many of them showcasing their talents in the Ewe language.
“He told them the stage was mounted for them so they could showcase their talents as the world was watching. All the 21 artistes performed back-to-back and most of them performed in Ewe,” she added.
