Ghanaian business mogul Dr. Daniel McKorley, popularly known as McDan, has publicly described Afro-Dancehall musician Stonebwoy as an epitome of excellence and a benchmark for professionalism and work ethic.
In a Facebook post on February 28, 2026, Dr McKorley explained that he frequently references Stonebwoy when speaking on excellence because of the high standards the musician consistently holds in his craft.
He described Stonebwoy as someone who approaches his work with strict discipline and seriousness.
“The way he approaches his work says a lot. If you’ve been around him, even for a second, you’ll see a man who doesn’t play about his craft at all. And that’s why I tell people to strive for excellence in everything they do as he does,” he said.
Dr McKorley urged professionals in all fields to adopt a similar mindset of executing tasks diligently and consistently, regardless of pay or personal preference.
“If a task is handed to you, no matter how small the pay or how little you like it, give it your best. Don’t do a careless, half-hearted job and expect applause,” he said.
He warned that observers will judge the quality of work in silence, and that while a good job done attracts patronage, poor work will lead to negativity.
“People are watching. Even in silence, they are observing the quality of your craft, and if you show diligence and consistency, patronage will come in abundance.
“But if you’re sloppy and unserious, those same people will speak against you, and they’ll do it in places where your voice cannot reach,” he noted.
The businessman said individuals are often absent when others discuss their performance in influential circles and in those moments, “the evidence of your work” remains.
“You won’t be there to defend yourself, to explain, or to add context. All that will stand in your place is the evidence of your work, whether excellent, average, or disgraceful.
“And if it’s disgraceful, forget everything I’ve said. There’ll be no help for you. None,” he concluded.
Dr McKorley’s comments come amid ongoing recognition of Stonebwoy’s impact on Ghana’s music scene, including his various accolades over the years and a strong international profile that have reinforced his reputation as one of the country’s leading artistes.
