Stonebwoy encourages youth of Volta Region to enter into cocoa farming

Ghanaian dancehall artist, Stonebwoy has urged the youth of Akome Gborta in the Volta Region to be involved in the MASO initiative and be a new generation of farmers that can be self-employed.

The MASO initiative is an undertaking to target young people in cocoa growing communities which focuses on creating employment opportunities for youth aged 18 to 25 in the Ashanti, Brong Ahafo, Western, Central and Volta Regions.

Stonebwoy, an ambassador for the MASO initiative at a durbar for the farming community in Akome Gborta in the Ho West constituency in Volta Region told the youth to sustain the legacy of their forefathers by taking the opportunity offered by technological advancement to develop the cocoa business.

He believed that the youth were the able bodied human resources to ensure the development of the rural community and it would halt the rural-urban migration of many of the constituents all in the name of seeking greener pastures.

Stonebwoy in his address believed that Solidaridad spearheading the initiative felt that it was a good initiative he needed to align himself with.

The event was a way for Stonebwoy to interact with the residents and he definitely did not disappoint his fans when he gave them a performance of his hits.
