'They are faking to each other' – Stonebwoy’s cryptic post spark reactions

On the dawn of May 30, 2026, Afro-Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy shared a cryptic post on social media about relationships, suggesting that two men are not always “real” to each other, a message that has generated conversations online.

In the post made by the “Jejereje” hitmaker, he suggested that two unnamed individuals have been pretending to be close based on personal interests, describing such behaviour as “convenient friendship.”

Stonebwoy added that even the devil disapproves of such conduct, where people act friendly in front of each other but lack genuine intentions.

“These two guys have been faking to each other based on interests and timing. Convenient friendship. Even the devil hates that,” he wrote.

Following the post, which was shared at 5:36 a.m., social media users began linking it to a possible reference to Shatta Wale and Sarkodie, who performed together at Kweku Smoke’s concert in Brixton, UK, on the night of May 29, 2026, despite their past highly publicised “beef.”

Some netizens who believe the post was aimed at both Shatta Wale and Sarkodie have criticised Stonebwoy for the comment.

One user indicated that although the post may not have been directed at anyone specific, if Sarkodie is part of the discussion, then Stonebwoy may be mistaken.

“I don’t know who you’re referring to though, but if Sarkodie is part of this conversation, I bet you’re getting everything wrong. The dream is to bring everyone together. Let love lead. The three S’s are all we’ve got: Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, and Stonebwoy,” one user reacted.

Another person argued that whether Sarkodie and Shatta Wale are truly close or not should not matter, adding that unity in the creative industry should be the focus.

“Ghana first. Sark and Shatta showed up to support Kweku Smoke on a major London stage. Whether they are best friends or not is irrelevant. Mature people celebrate unity when it benefits the industry. Not every moment needs to be filtered through personal grudges,” the user commented.

However, another social media user challenged the Dancehall artiste to openly mention the names of the two individuals he was referring to in his post.

“I dare you to mention the names of the two guys you are talking about,” he said.
