Stars unite to save hearts

He has been touching hearts for years with his soothing voice and singer Kwabena Kwabena did it again in a different way with some of his friends last Saturday at the State Banquet Hall by raising funds to support patients suffering from heart diseases.

Hosted by KOD and Funny Face, the Save a Life concert brought together musicians like Samini, OJ, Efya, Joojo, Okyeame Kwame, Stella Seal, Luther, Akwaboah, Sarkodie and Becca who all sang to the delight of patrons.

O. J kicked off the show and got everybody dancing to songs like Apor Yesu, Kosoa Na Koso and Maye Se Mo Pen. Funny Face joining O.J to perform Apor Yesu was something else.

Patrons couldn’t help laughing when Funny Face’s trousers got torn in an attempt to jump onto the stage.

Stella Seal and the other artistes did what was expected of them till the turn of the man everyone had been waiting for. For about 30 minutes, Kwabena Kwabena wowed the crowd with songs like Daakye, Royal Lady, Bibiniba, Dadie Anoma and Do No Bi.

Several dignitaries, including Mrs. Konadu Agyemang Rawlings and former Finance and Economic Planning Minister, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor were at the show.

The award-winning singer managed to raise over Ghc100,000 in cash and pledges.
