Stars set to crack ribs with ‘Run for Your Wife’ this weekend

This weekend, the stars will light up the National Theatre of Ghana as the farcical stage play, ‘Run For Your Wife’ hits Accra for two nights. Theatre lovers and indeed the whole of Accra can enjoy one of the most anticipated stage productions f the year as TIGO presents the much anticipated hilarious stage play on August 13 and 14.

With two shows each day, the audiences will see some of their most loved radio, TV and movie stars perform on stage like they have never seen before. The star-studded cast includes some of the most respected names in Ghanaian arts and theatre today, such as Ecow Smith Asante from, Adjetey Annang (Pusher), Roland Adom, Naa Asorkor Mensah Doku, Dzifa Sogbe, Ken Fiati and the fast-growing standup comedian, Funny Face.

‘Run for Your Wife’ chronicles the life of Adjei Sowah, an Accra based taxi driver and his double life. He’s married to two women that live five minutes apart, yet do not know about each other’s existence. He is able to successfully live this deceitful lifestyle by maintaining a rather tight schedule with much shrewdness but for how long? What happens when an accident interrupts his busy schedule, inviting the police and media – two organizations that do not understand privacy as far as he is concerned – into his life? How smart can this ordinary taxi driver be to prevent matters from getting out of hand when the two wives find out about each other?
