Some up and coming artistes are just lazy - Richie Mensah

Ghanaian song writer, singer and producer Richie Mensah, who also doubles as the CEO of Lynx Entertainment has revealed to www.flexgh.com that a few of Ghanaian up and coming musicians will indeed become stars in this business due to their attitude towards the career.

Richie Mensah, who has managed artistes like Asem, OJ Blaq, Zigi, Eazzy and other talented musicians under his record label; lynx Entertainment stated that, every up and coming artiste is willing to be become a star overnight but they are few ones that are working to achieve their goals and he knows they will one day take the music industry by storm.

Richie Mensah, currently the manager of Ghanaian Afrobeatz female singer and BET nominee MzVee and also two huge talented singers and hit makers, Kidi and Kuami Eugene, believes that Ghana has got many talented musicians in the music industry which he thinks with the help of every industry player individual would be able to discover this talented musician that are struggling to make it into the main stream of the music industry.

”I guess I have been grooming artistes for so long. That is easy for me to know who is actually hardworking and who is not really serious. So let us help the good ones that can put our music industry on the world stage which will brighten up the image of the industry” he stated.

He also gave emphasized on the fact that he has realized that being loyal to people doesn’t mean they will also be loyal to you. And so he’s never regretted working with Asem, OJ Blag, Zigi, Eazzy and other musicians that worked with him at Lynx Entertainment. He believes it is part of life for lessons to be learnt by the individuals involved.

The music producer and business man also hinted that Ghanaians shouldn’t expect Zylofon Music; currently the biggest record label in Ghana to support every artiste in the country but rather understanding that every business man is out to out there to make it.So if Zylofon is spending money on the entertainment industry they are looking forward to recoup it due time and that would help define their business.

Richie admitted that he has given up on the royalty system in Ghana, but he is praying it will be better in the near future so that he can benefit in the long run.

On the issues of black magic popularly referred to as ‘juju’, Richie Mensah opined that, he is always hearing people talking about it in the entertainment industry but weather it is true or not he is not ready to involve himself in such issues but rather he is focusing on what he is doing and keeps believing in God because He is bigger than anything on this earth.

Meanwhile, he expressed his opinion on the ‘one corner’ song by saying he really hates the dance that is tagged to the song but rather loves the fact that it’s putting Ghana on the map again, so Ghanaians should support it in a positive way.

Richie Mensah quickly described, Kuami Eugene, currently one of the biggest up and coming artistes and hit makers of the country as music addict and that he is really working hard to improve his music talent, hence his hit song.
