Sisters Show Class At "Pleasure 2003" Zonal Event

The search for representatives for the grand finals of the Pleasure 2003 fiesta is still on, and last weekend it was the turn of the Central Zone.

The venue was the Centre for National Culture, Cape Coast, where two sisters, Linda Amoatemaa, 21, hairdresser and Rita Ama Yoga ,18, student, beat 10 male dancers to book their tickets for the finals.

They received ?500,000 and ?450,000 respectively. The two, who were visibly very excited over their qualification, performed a choreographed dance as their victory dance, much to the admiration of the audience.

Their movements, well co-ordinated and beautiful, indicated that they had been rehearsing together for long period. Linda, the elder of the two, had qualified on two previous occasions.

Francis Wormenor Ersem, 20, a musician, won the hiplife talent segment. A student, Issah Bala, 22, was the runner-up. The two will represent the Central/Western zone. They received ?500,000 and ?450,000 as their prizes.

Nana Ama Twumwaa Adomako, 22, and Gifty Acquah, both students, emerged the winner and first runner-up respectional of the beauty contest. They took away ?800,000 and ?600,000 respectively.

The hiplife trio, K. K. Fosu, Kokoveli and Batman, and the current hiplife champion, C.O. Lewis were on stage to entertain the audience.

Pikuss Laryea, who was the MC for the programme, was extremely good in his presentation of the fun time segment, which gave the audience lots of laughs.
