Sister Act: "There is nothing wrong with Wiyaala 'taking' my song" - Sherifa Gunu

Princess Sherifa Gunu has given young and budding Ghanaian music sensation Noella Wiyaala her blessing to continue taking credit for her newly released banger ‘Africa’.

Wiyaala has been commended on various platforms for the peace song which was launched together with twelve other songs on her debut self-titled album Wiyaala.

Speaking on the Starr Entertainment segment on the Starr Drive with Bola Ray and Juanita, Sherifa admitted to rumours that suggested the song, was initially composed and performed by her on a number of platforms.

Sherifa also admitted that she meant to record the song with American R&B singer cum music producer Akon before Wiyaala went ahead with her re-work and recording of the sound.

She however said unconvincingly that the young songstress called her and she (Sherifa)gave her permission to record the soundtrack.

“She is my younger sister and I have to support her” she said.
