Sista Afia and I had an amicable departure - Bisa Kdei

One of the very relevant pillars of Ghanaian high life music at the moment Bisa Kdei has revealed why she parted ways with singer Sista Afia barely two years after he introduced her to mainstream Ghanaian music.

The Mansa hitmaker in an exclusive interview with NY DJ on BTM Afrika shut down rumours that suggested that he was in an amorous relationship with Sista Afia.

According to Bisa Kdei, Sista Afia remains his daughter although they decided to part ways.

“Sista Afia is my daughter… her mum is music. I brought her into the industry. I wanted her to be the queen of high life but unfortunately, it got to a point where we decided to part ways but she’s doing really good and I love her. She’s doing really really good I’m proud of her. I love her.”

Bisa Kdei would not lay a finger on what exactly led to the two parting ways but says, the exit was mutual.

“It was an amicable departure. We had a mutual agreement…”

In 2015, Sista Afia released her major breakthrough single Kro Kro No which featured Bisa Kdei.

Bisa Kdei is currently working on his upcoming album High life Connect.
