Set in the fictional rural location of Chikota in Nigeria, ShugaRadioNaija stars radio OAP, Lolo who plays Mrs Balogun, a straight laced biology teacher, alongside Bayray Mcwizu and Frank Eche-Ben, who play Nurse Ekaette and Chuks respectively.

The series will address topical issues including HIV counseling and testing, gender inequality, transactional sex and the use of condoms in relationships.

It will air weekly on Lagos based radio stations, Unilag FM and City FM. The TV version of the series was first aired in November 2009 and featured the current Mr Nigeria, Emmanuel Ikubese.
