Sherifa Gunu, K.K Fosu, Nana Acheampong grace GPHA new year dinner dance

The dance floor exploded with wild dancing moves when Sherifa Gunu, K.K Fosu and Nana Acheampong hit the Ghana Ports and Harbour Authority (GPHA) Senior Staff Club House at Tema on the night of January 11, 2014.

Sherifa Gunu among other headlined artistes on the night grasped the emotions of the audience as she displayed her energized feet works coupled with her reviving music.

She performed her songs ‘Beautiful’, which was the theme song for Ghana’s most beautiful about 3 years ago, ‘Yumiantaba’ meaning ‘love for one another’ and one other track inspired by the story of ‘the hawk and the Drum’ popular in Ghanaian local language as ‘Kirekete Soya’ from a nationally accredited English Reading Book 4.

In Sherifa’s own words, “It may sound immature to have woven a song based on a children’s book but had it not been for the lessons I took from that episode, I would be counted among the unfortunate pool of illiterates today. It is my wish that every child, even adults who desire to educate themselves be encouraged and supported to do so, as more learning only makes you better”.

The excited audience were even more thrilled when K. K Fosu aka D style, mounted the stage with his number one hit song, ‘Anadwo y3 d3’ and ‘)baa pa’ which added up more heat to the dance floor as distinguished couples of the Ghana Port and Habour Authorities displayed their dancing skills.

The gorgeously dressed ladies and their honorable men were not left out of the fun as they graced the scene with their smooth ‘Azonto’ movements.

Eventually, the event was climaxed with a performance from the ever green legend, Nana Acheampong aka Nana naaa! who on his part entertained the audience reminding most of them of their ‘hay days’ with his burger highlife classics including ‘Nnada me’, ‘obi aware me’, ‘Nanka 3b3y3den na ay3 wo ya’, ‘Cassanova’ and many more.

The excited GPHA family rallied behind him dancing to his ever popular tunes.

The occasion couldn’t have been planned any better without Ghana’s soothing-voiced, Sherifa Gunu with her dance moves, K.K Fosu and Nana Acheampong.
