Hiplife Grandpapa and member of award winning VVIP group Reggie Rockstone has cautioned Ghanaians especially fans of Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale to tread cautiously in the seeming ‘beef’ between the latter and Nigerian sensation, Wizkid.

Reggie Rockstone said this exclusively to www.Ghanaweb.com whiles sharing his opinion on the ongoing ‘beef’ which took social media by storm a few days ago.

It would be recalled that a statement by Shatta Wale in television interview sparked days of ‘war’ on Twitter, with fans of both Shatta Wale and Wizkid taking sides and throwing jabs at each other causing Shatta Wale to trend over three days on the social media platform.

According to Reggie Rockstone, as far as he is concerned there has never been any issues between Ghanaians and Nigerians, but what he sees is fans acting out of extreme zealousness trying to force non-existent agenda. “There has never been issues between Nigeria and Ghana, as far as I know. It seems like the fans are acting fanatically and therefore forcing this agenda”

The well acclaimed rapper described the entire banter as ‘fun and cute’ was quick to stress that it won’t yield any positive results. He reminded Ghanaians of the dark past with Nigeria which generated the term “Ghana-must-go” and warned them to be careful not to evoke old sentiments, which may result on unscrupulous people taking advantage of the situation to cause mayhem.

“It’s cute for a minute, it's showbiz I understand it, but in reality, how does that work? We also have to be careful how we evoke old sentiments because Ghana and Nigeria have a very dark past, remember Ghana-must-go? So be careful, he advised.
