Dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah, popularly known as Shatta Wale has added a new toy to his fleet of luxurious cars after he was awarded as the “Celebrity of the Year” at the just ended 2017 People's Celebrity Awards.

Amid the numerous controversies and public “insanity” the 'Freedom' hitmaker remains a darling we cannot do without in the entertainment industry.

The multiple award winning artiste without a doubt has been the most talked about Ghanaian musician in 2017 but in spite of the heavy attention he has drawn to himself it seems to have paid off for him.

Shatta Wale on December 30, walked away with the ultimate prize of a Dodge Charger which was at stake at the second edition of the People's Choice Awards now People’s Celebrity Awards that came off at the Accra International Conference Centre, Saturday.

The new whip comes on the back of a brand new G-Wagon he received as a birthday gift from the CEO of EIB Network, Bola Ray in October this year.

From beefing with his colleagues in the music industry, slapping his body guard on stage at the recently held S-Concert, confronting journalists/bloggers over cocaine reports, using a firearm in public, Shatta Wale has walked his way through 2017 sky-high.



The “Ayoo” hitmaker has in his automobile collection, a Jeep Wrangler, Range Rover Vogue, Toyota Camry, Maserati, BMW among others.

The People’s Celebrity Awards is an annual award scheme which seeks to award and celebrate individuals who have contributed immensely towards the development of the Ghanaian Arts and Entertainment industry.

The scheme covered areas such as music, movies, TV, Radio, Journalism, and Sports among other fields.

Notable personalities who were present at the awards night were Asamoah Gyan, DKB, Ahoufe Patri, Kalybos, Jacinta Ocansey and Dr. Paa Kwesi Ndoum among others.
