Shatta Wale heaps praises on Daddy Lumba

Dancehall artist Shatta Wale has expressed his gratitude to Highlife icon Daddy Lumba for influencing his musical career positively.

The Shatta Movement boss has credited Daddy Lumba as a trailblazer who has championed the rights of musicians to receive fair compensation for their performances.

According to him, this legacy has benefited the newer generation of artistes, enabling them to demand substantial fees.

This sentiment was shared by Shatta Wale during a live performance with Daddy Lumba in London on Monday, May 6, 2024.

Addressing an enthusiastic London audience, he said, "Our heartfelt thanks go to Daddy Lumba for showing us the way in music and monetization.

"We are deeply grateful, from Samini, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Kofi Nti, Medikal, to all the artists in Ghana."
