Shatta Wale forced to leave ‘Loud in GH’ stage for Samini

The aging grudge between Ghana’s top dancehall artistes, Bandana aka Shatta Wale and Samini was again felt at the Loud In GH concert organized by Yfm at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Concert which headlined top dancehall artistes in the country had Samini and Shatta Wale on the bill, but to the surprise of many, Shatta Wale refused to stop performing after he had performed close to 30 songs knowing Samini was next to perform.

Several times he was signaled to end his performance but he chose to caution the organizers to allow him do his job which is to entertain his fans while the crowd kept on chanting his name. He was allowed to perform and he never stopped.

His attitude compelled the organizers to pull the plug on the PA system which Shatta Wale regardless kept on performing to the chant of his fans for some minutes before he gave up the stage.

The audience started leaving after Shatta Wale left the stage at around 0345 GMT thinking the show was over. As soon as Samini was introduced, many of the people who had left started returning to the stadium wondering what had just happened.

About half the audience had left and Samini ignited a huge cheer from those present when he insisted on performing to those who are ready to be entertained even if it would last till sunrise.

He delivered a great performance to the satisfaction of his fans despite the unnecessary delay he had to encounter.

The concert which started three hours late had performances from eight underground dancehall artistes with Kaakie, Natural Face, Jupiter, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale and Samini entertaining the crowd that had filled a quarter of the stadium stands.
