Sexy Actress: I Need A Cool Guy

YOUNG GHANAIAN actress Zynnell Lydia Zuh has discussed her ‘behind the screens’ life with NEWS-ONE in an interview that touched on her love life, nightclub adventures and dream lover.

“I like clubbing a lot but I am not a partying animal. I go to the club sometimes on weekends, especially on Fridays or Saturdays to have fun.

I don’t smoke or take hard liquor like some other people do,” the 24-year-old sexy actress from the Volta Region noted.

Zynnell said she is single and has no man in her life now, and though she loves clubbing, she does not want a club-freak guy for a husband.

“I won’t be happy if my boyfriend likes going to the club. I am not saying he should not socialize but if he is the type who likes going to the club like say every week, I will definitely not be happy with that.

“Every woman is looking for something in a man, if I don’t see that in you, I will not go out with you. I am just keeping my fingers crossed, hoping that God will send me that person one day.

My man should be caring because I love attention or I should say I am very jealous. He should be caring and understand what I do as an actress,” she explained.

The actress, who looks up to Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji, said she is aware of the price to pay after becoming a public figure so she does not care about what people say about her, because she is aware actresses are always branded “bad people.”

“I used to bother about what people say about me but I learnt that in this world, you can’t please everybody so I stopped.

You do what is best for you because at the end of the day, if you get broke nobody will give you money. So you do what is best for you. People will always talk, whether you do it or not,” she added.

The only girl from a family of six, Zynnell has been in Ghana’s movie industry since 2004. After her primary education at Star Avenue at Asylum Down in Accra, she continued to the Wesley Girls High School. Owing to her passion for acting, after high school, she tried her hands on auditions.

She auditioned for a lead role in TV series titled ‘Sticking To The Promise’ by Point Blank Media. Fortunately, she got the role, which she played a twin to another actress.

Subsequently, she was discovered by African Movie Academy award winning director Shirley Frimpong Manso, who auditioned and featured her in the rested ‘Different Shades of Blue’ TV series and a cameo role in her movie, ‘Life and Living It’.

While casting for these two movies, she was in the University of Ghana studying Information studies. So after those roles, she decided to give full time attention to her education.

Having graduated from school two years ago and completing her national service, Zynnell told NEWS-ONE she has decided to return to serious acting.

The young lady has just featured in Venus Films latest released movie titled ‘Seduction’, starring Majid Michel.

“Acting is something I also like to do from infancy. I guess I have the passion for it and I just want to see myself going into it,” she explained her acting career.

She said when she was young, she used to sing and act like other stars she saw on the screens. Now that she has the opportunity to act, she is also working towards making her music dreams a reality, hoping to drop a single very soon.

Besides acting, the light-skinned actress used to co-host a TV marketing show on GTV called Best Sellers. But she went off the screen for a while because she travelled.
