See Jocelyn Dumas & Efya’s designer pick for 4Style Music Awards

When it comes to Ghanaian celebrities in African fashion Efya has always been top ranked for her consistent appreciation of home-grown appeal.

There was once upon a time when wearing African fashion (in Ghana) meant you had to wear a print dress, but with the broad appeal and creative designs by Ghanaian designers and tailors this isn’t so.

Fast forward to today, you now have a wide variety of print clothes, non print clothes, and mixed with print clothes by the various designers as was exhibited at the Glitz Africa Fashion Week 2013.

What is great about this is not to say we do not love our print, it would forever be the pride of African fashion, but rather to imply that for occasions, people, and times where one chooses not to wear print, they can still be within the realms of African fashion.

So with no further adieu, here are the celebrity designer picks. Efya was spotted in a mint green maxi dress with a side split from B’Venaj’s envy collection, and Joycelyn Dumas was spotted in a sparkling blue pencil dress by Poqua Poqu.

Two very fantabulous designer labels for two great women.
