School organises chorus night

Awutu-Beraku (C/R), Dec. 21, GNA - Te Management of Awutu-Beraku-based Your Faith International School in the Central Region, on Thursday organized its first chorus night for parents, guardians, teachers, students of the school to enlighten them more on the essence of the birth of Christ.

The meeting, attracted chiefs, assembly members and other opinion leaders in the town to join the participants to offer prayers for socio-economic and spiritual upliftment for Ghana.

Speaking at the function, Mr. Isaac Danquah, the Managing Director of the school said what the nation, and the entire universe requires now was peace, unity, love and stability among adults in various countries to enable them to help their children to develop their God-given talents for the economic and social advancement society.

Mr. Danquah therefore, called on warring factions in various developing and developed nations to lay down their arms and smoke the peace pipe in the supreme interest of children of the world who are the future handlers of the affairs of the world.

Mr. Danquah made a special appeal to political leaders in neighbouring countries to allow God to lead, guide and dictate to them in all their dealings, so that they could take decisions that would bring about lasting peace, stability and economic progress to their people and nations. The Headmaster of the School, Mr. Joseph Nkrumah, appealed to parents and guardians to place greater emphasises on the education of their children if they want to enjoy a better life during their old age.

They must pay serious attention to the girl-child education because female children also have the potentials to develop their intellectual powers to the highest level to support national development.

The assemblyman for Awutu, Mr Moses Acquah-Arhinful advised parents to supplement the efforts of teachers by inculcating in children Jesus Christ's humble, sober, respectful and excellent attitude and behaviour.
