Sarkodie was my student – Rocky Dawuni reveals

Award-winning reggae artiste Rocky Dawuni has revealed that rapper Sarkodie was once his student.
According to him, he taught a young Sarkodie when he was a teacher during his National Service days.

Speaking on Accra-based Hitz FM, he said he went into teaching some time ago and later realized the rapper was actually one of his students.

The topic came about when the singer was asked if he would consider becoming a lecturer in the near future.

“…so a few years later, I found out that one of my students was actually Sarkodie. At that time Sarkodie was also in Koforidua schooling. So I had the opportunity of teaching him at that time,” he said.

“It’s been a long time since then but I’ve done lectures in certain universities in the United States (U.S.),” he added.

Rocky Dawumi is currently in Ghana to promote his new album titled ‘Beats of Zion’.
