Sarkodie, Bisa Kdei, Kaywa earn 2016 AFRIMMA nominations

Ghanaian acts, Sarkodie, Bisa Kdei and Sound Engineer Kaywa have been nominated in various categories at the 2016 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA).

Kdei got three nominations: ‘Song of the Year’, ‘Best Male West Africa’ and ‘Video of the Year’, Sarkodie was nominated in the ‘Best Male West Africa’ category and Kaywa is up for ‘Music Producer of the Year’.

Organizers say the awards scheme “is the sole award ceremony in the Diaspora that caters to all musical genres including but not limited to: Afrobeats, Assiko, Bongo, Decale, Funana, Genge, Highlife, Hiplife, Kwaito, Lingala and Soukous.”

The 3rd edition of the event will take place on October 15, 2016 in the United States of America.

It will be hosted by Nigerian Comedian BasketMouth and Reality TV Star Cynthia Bailey.
