Samini has stopped miming - Manager

Batman SaminiEmmanuel Samini, otherwise known as Batman Samini has decided to call it quits with miming. According to the MTN ambassador’s manager, Tony Pun Daning, the star does not find it comfortable miming and that the decision was to heed the call on musicians to embrace live band performances.

In an exclusive interview with Beatwaves over the weekend, the manager said the Artiste of the Year 2007 would now

stick to live band performances only, adding that he would soon be forming his own band to that effect.

He further stated that Samini had developed a strong zest to perform with live band and that explains why he enjoys performing live at every show these days.

“Samini is a live band artiste who likes to deliver with live band. So whenever he wants to put up an act like this, as a manager, I always make it happen.

That is what he does, because he does not feel comfortable when miming. Maybe other artistes are okay with miming. I am not condemning them,” said Tony.

To execute the plan, he disclosed, “we are trying to see how best we can package the band and outdoor it with the new album.”

He indicated that with the outdooring of the album and the band, Samini would be performing with his bandsmen.

Samini’s next project, according to the manager, would be coming this year. Last Saturday, at the show dubbed Stars for Stars Concert organized by omanyeonline to support the Black Stars’ quarter final qualification into the semi-finals, among the numerous artistes who performed, Samini was the only one who performed with live band.
