Sa4a Designs wins Accessories Designer of the Year (Bags, Shoes & Hair Option)

Sa4a Designs, over the weekend at the just concluded second edition of the Ghana Fashion Awards 2012 won the gong for Accessories Designer of the Year (Bags, Shoes & Hair Option).

She came out tops in the category with top contenders like: MSIMPS, ZediCross, Ani Siyah, and Diva Delicious. Albeit, The Plaice Event Centre, La, Accra-venue of the event had one centre of attraction and that was the uniqueness of the glowing Abena Safoa Amoako Gyimah, CEO of Sa4a Designs.

After the feat, when asked what has kept her on her toes over the years, she answered saying, “with the growing system in the fashion angle, one just need to stand out tall, unique and noticed. One needs to also distinguish himself or herself from the crowd and carve a niche with a unique clientele to match”.

It will be recounted that earlier this year at the Glitz Fashion Week 2012, Sa4a Designs picked up an award for ‘Chivas Luxury Man Design’ of the Year. So with another accolade coming in the space of few months, one will be right to say that it’s ‘a 2 over 2 affair’.

Sa4a Designs uses the patchwork technique in a unique way, taking the print-on-print trend and putting it all in one place as a covering. Their range consists of shoes and sandals but we especially the bags and clutches are sweet.

Her appreciation out of brewed ideas, imagination and creativity will see her reign for a long time.
