SOS Village organizes "Talento Expo 2011"

Tema, March 9, GNA - Michelle Kyeremah, a 10-year old primary four girl, at the weekend emerged the winner of a variety entertainment programme dubbed: "Talento Expo 2011," organized by Management of the SOS Children's Village of Tema.

Kyeremah and four others were selected from a list of 22 contestants. They did poetry recitals, choreography, modeling in African wear and traditional dancing.

Pierre Peter (11), Edwina Akosua Agyei (13), Nii Duodu Addo (10), and Grace Karikari (14), took the second, third and fourth positions respectively.

Mr Isaac Kojo Ackon, Village Director, told the GNA that the Expo, an annual affair, was a platform aimed at helping to unearth talents in the children at the Village. Mr Ackon said Talento Expo coincided with th e Independence Day Anniversary celebration to whip up nationalistic spirit in the children in order to give them a true sense of national identity. 9 March 11
