SHE ventures into movie acting

After successful premieres in and outside Ghana, the debut movie of Ghanaian songbird, Yvonne Ohene-Djan, popularly known in showbiz circles as SHE, has finally been released onto the market.

‘Kweiba’ tells a captivating story of an only child who was dearly loved by her father. Even though poor, the father did his best for his child. She falls in love and the situation turns around.

The movie which was set in the 60’s and 80’s is one that will keep viewers making wrong guesses scene after scene keeping them in suspense from beginning to the end.

Before venturing into movies, SHE has been a strong force in the music industry since the 90’s till date.

With an unprecedented record of over 200 hit songs including those of legends like Daddy Lumba, Tagoe Sisters, Kojo Antwi, Ofori Amponsah, Rev Josh Laryea, DSP Kofi Sarpong, Ohemaa Mercy, No Tribe, Kwabena Kwabena, Samini, Becca and President Obuor to her credit, it was no surprise to see her transfer that same excellence and quality to her movie.

At the grand premiere in April last year, the audience was left with no choice than to give a standing ovation to what they described as a classic and well executed movie.

Ace movie maker, Kwaw Ansah, who disclosed that it was the first time he was attending a movie premiere walked up to SHE and gave a hug, an obvious endorsement of the movie. It has also received high ratings from movie enthusiasts all over the world.

It features ace movie icons like David Dontoh, Amanorbea Doodo, Opoku Boakye, Kojo Dadson, Kwesi Kyei Darkwah, Emelia Brobbey, D-Flex and Clement Bonny.

Kweiba has a storyline that will educate and entertain without of a single boring moment.
