SEIZE THE DAY Replaces IN THE NAME OF LOVE On Viasat 1

Viasat 1 premieres the Brazilian telenovela “Seize the Day”, on Wednesday 9 November 3:00 PM GMT.

The telenovela will begin transmission as a replacement of the also successful Mexican telenovela, “In the Name of Love” which ends Tuesday 8 November at 3pm. “Seize the Day”, starring ALINNE MORAES, LILIA CABRAL and MATEUS SOLANO, tells the story of a millionaire in his fifties who falls in love with Helena, a beautiful black model at the peak of her career.

Their passion suffers due to the resentment of his ex-wife and the opposition of his eldest daughter Luciana, a model at the beginning of her career. In spite of all this, the couple lives a fairy tale romance.

On the other side of the world, friends Bruno and Felipe live a life of uncertainty and adventure. On a trip to Jordan, they happen to meet Helena and Luciana. Returning from this trip, Luciana suffers a serious accident that will transform the lives of several characters.

‘Seize the Day’ is a telenovela that explores the human quest of overcoming limits, the joy of living, having hope, and redeeming emotion in relationships. The central plot is about Luciana, the spoiled, envious, and problematic young model. Her envy of supermodel Helena reaches a crescendo when Helena marries Marcos, her father, and becomes her stepmother.

Seize the day is Viasat 1’s fourth telenovela since launch in 2008. The channel has pioneered a new standard in day time television programming in the country since introducing Latin American telenovelas to daytime viewing as opposed to the pertaining prime time airing of the series.

The channel is presently placed at number two on local television market shares. Seize the Day premieres Wednesday 9 November 2011 at 3pm.
