RhymeSonny fired up for ‘Lyrical Dexterity’

After impressing participants at the just ended Wiezo conference in Accra, the King of Rhymes, RhymeSonny has taken his creativity a notch higher and he’s bound to serve the finest cocktail of spoken word/poetry with Jazz music to audience at the Equator Bar inside the plush La-Palm Royal Beach Hotel.

This event is the second phase of a spokenword project he has been working on and has teamed with the management of the plush LaPalm Royal Beach Hotel to add flesh to it.

The presentation is meant to give breath to his writings as it employs some of the intangible qualities of performance poetry—emotional, melodic, harmonious, rhythmic, heartfelt and deep contents. Rhymesonny is one of Africa’s finest talents in the field of spoken word and poetry.

He is a Creative Entrepreneur and has been the force in promoting contemporary Ghanaian poetry across the continent. Rhymesonny has created a number of platforms for poets through People of Equal Thoughts and Spirit, The Poetry Exchange Project and ALEWA, the most prestigious poetry event where young people with interest in poetry and spoken word come together to share their works.

This year marks five years since he decided to do poetry fulltime and he tells us that he is only beginning. The creation and promotion of poetry whether spoken or written, cannot be detached from culture and tourism that’s why poets have been cultivating literary activities and spoken word events around the continent at strategic places to stimulate creativity, awaken minds, foster education, inspire mentorship and source for business opportunities for the artistes.

This event will also feature the Afro Maestros Orchestral Ensemble, Kacey Moore, Hashmullah, Selikem and Ghana’s fastest live painter, Patrick William Dodoo.
