Veteran Highlife musician, Rex Owusu Marfo, known in music circles as Rex Omar has threatened to sue entertainment company, Zylofon Media for copyright infringement.

According to Rex Omar, Zylofon FM, one of the subsidiaries of the company, played his song on air with seeking his permission. Narrating his story, Rex Omar disclosed that he gave one of his unreleased songs to a Zylofon ambassador for critic only to hear the song being played on Zylofon FM later.

“I wanted to revive Highlife. I kept going to the studio for two years. I give it to you purposely to listen and by the time I realised, you play it on radio. That is not right and that is not how I want it to come out. People must understand that most creative people have some emotion attached to their work,” the veteran artiste lamented on Hitz FM on Thursday.

For him, every song he writes has a million doollar value so if Zylofon wants to settle the matter amicably, he the CEO of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah has to sort him out.
