Reggie Rockstone cheated me in ’83 - Akosua Adjepong

Former member of Ghanaian music group NAKOREX and ex wife of Amandzeba Nat Brew, Akosua Adjepong has thrown a challenge to hip-life grand papa Reggie Rockstone to engage her in a dance battle after losing to him in a competition 32 years ago.

According to the music legend who was the only female amongst six finalists (including Reggie Rockstone), Reggie Rockstone emerged winner because he pulled the wool over her eyes back then hence the need for a revenge.

Narrating an intense tale, the mother said she believes Reggie Rockstone pulled a form of ‘kuluulu’ (cheating) leading to him being eventually declared winner.

‘At the finale I decide to perform with the song Electric Boogie which I had on a cassette but unfortunately I couldn’t bring it, thanks to forgetfulness and when the DJ said he didn’t have that song, I asked him to play me a song of pop singer and dancer Michael Jackson’

She continued her tale saying “after Rockstone was announced as champion, the DJ started playing Electric Boogie which left me thinking”

Akosua Adjepong has therefore thrown a challenge at Reggie Rockstone to come face to face with her as she celebrates 25 years in the music industry.
