Legendary Nigerian artiste Ukeleke Onwubuya has passed on, according to information available to YEN.com.gh.
The reggae legend died in Lagos on Sunday, June 10, 2018, after battling a short illness.
Ukeleke Onwubuya is remembered for his impactful hit songs, notable among them being "What's Gwan," and "Under Pressure."
Tributes have poured in from far and near since news of his demise broke on the internet.
Colleague musicians and other celebrities took to social media to pay their respect to veteran artiste upon hearing of his demise.
In a Facebook post, Heirs Holding chairman Tony Elumelu said Onwubuya impacted his life."I just heard the worst news that the Nigerian Reggae legend and my cousin, #RasKimono has died.
Ras had a huge impact on my appreciation of music & is one of the reasons I’m such a huge fan of the genre. I still remember his performance at our #HHchrismas party a two years ago," he wrote.
