Fast rising lyricist Kosi Bone on Thursday made a donation to help complete the maternity ward at Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
Touted the future of Ewe rap, the Hip Hop and Hiplife recording act born Mills Edem Dusi made a cash donation to the hospital after chancing on a news report which highlighted the plight of the health facility.
“I feel there’s a need to touch society positively no matter how small it seems. I want to show Ghanaians that, a lot of the problems we are dealing with in our various societies can be fixed by us if each one of us invest our time, resources or skills to solve the problems.” Kosi Bone said in an interview.
“I did this to prompt my fellow rising stars on the need to support the suburbs we come from because we make music for the people but it’s not also about the music and making money but being a part of solving societal problems.”
Kosi Bone has tasked himself and his team to undertake projects including a visit to Nungua Children’s Home to donate some items to the children. He will also pay the hospital bill of a needy patient very soon.
“I’ve come to realize that, music is meaningless if those who listen to it are not happy. I therefore see the need to touch the lives of people in society in every way I can. Currently, Make a Million is supporting my charity drive heavily.”
Known for records including ‘Chocolate Girl’, ‘Banku and Tilapia’, ‘Wait’ and ‘Dzramdo’; Kosi Bone is currently promoting two singles titled ‘Hello’ and ‘Limit’. The visuals of ‘Limit’ will be premiering in the coming days.
