Quest Image launches "Big Talent Hunt!"

Quest Image Promotions (QIP), an events management and advertising company which organized the first ever Ashanti Industry, Trade and technology awards night in June 2001 has launched yet another magnificent and educative event in Kumasi.

Dubbed “The Big talent Hunt” the event, basically a music talent search, is intended to encourage the expression of creativity by amateurs through singing. The search will be in the areas of gospel music, hi-life, hip-life, reggae and jazz for which QIP intends to provide financial support to the talented in the release of their masterpieces.

QIP has consequently zoned the country into two with Greater Accra, Volta, Eastern, Central and Western regions categorized as Zone A while Brong Ahafo, Ashanti, Northern, Upper East and West regions form Zone B.

The hunt begins in Ashanti and Brong Ahafo this month with the preliminaries for the first batch. The Executive Director of QIP, Mr. Paul Kudonoo said his outfit would maintain selected artistes and produce them under the QIP label.

Kudonoo said the conviction to launch into this venture follows the fact that music is the simplest but influential, entertaining, powerful; and sophisticated way of passing on information to people across the world through modern technology.

He observed that developing the music industry proficiently would lead to the achievement of international acknowledgement and recognition for the Ghanaian music.

QIP, according to Kudonoo, would even want to sustain the event by taking “The Big Talent Hunt” to other parts of Africa and sell Ghana through good music
