Promzy’s exit wasn’t a surprise to us - VVIP

Multiple award-winning hiplife trio VVIP claim the 2013 exit of Promzy wasn’t a surprise to them.

The trio now made of up Zeal, Prodigal and Reggie Rockstone revealed this in an interview with Basiwa Dowuona-Hammond on GhOne TV’s GH Today.

Prodigal, answering a question on group’s break-up told the host “I think patience is very important…if somebody is tired of something and says “this is what I want to do”, you have to give them a try.

You can’t stop people, you can never sit on people’s happiness. That’s how we are as a group. If Reggie decides that he wants to resign now, that he is grown and doesn’t want to sing anymore, we can’t put a gun on Reggie that we have a show or we need to sing.

We had a vision from day one that we wanted to be the group that will always be there. We had broken-heart [sic] when Friction and Bone left the group ,so Promzy’s exit from the group wasn’t a surprise to us.

Our fans were a little disappointed in us but now they are used to us. It’s music – the more you give them good music, the more they love you.”

The group’s single, Alhaji, features Nigeria’s Patoranking, and is out now, while Promzy has reportedly teamed up with BukBak’s Bright to form a new group BP.
