Profane music is not my concern but the royalties - Rex Omar

The Chairman For GHAMRO, Rex Omar has said he is not much interested in the profane words some current musicians use in their songs.

In an interview with the host of Boss Fm 93.7mhz Saturday Entertainment Show ' Boss CountDown' Papa Pee, Mr. Omar was asked what the leaders of Ghana Music Rights Organisation- GHAMRO are doing about those profane songs.

Mr. Rex Omar however said he does not have problem with profane songs but his concern is about the royalties.

He explained further that, Ghanaians who are listening to the music are not complaining but they are buying the CDs.

Recently we can hear some artists using profane words in their songs which people see it as unGhanaian.

Some people are of the view that the music bodies roll out an appropriate punishments in curbing out such profanities from Ghanaian music.
