Princess Ivy launches debut album

Accra, March 11, GNA-Ms Eddith Ama Mawunyo Xorse,

known in showbiz as Princess Ivy, a new talent on the musical

scene, on Thursday released her debut album titled: 93take

over" produced by NISSI Consult of Media Excel Production. The album has 8 tracks, both in English and Twi and a

unique mix of neatly arranged lyrics with sensational and

inspirational rhythms.

Princess Ivy told journalists that the album has distinctive

features in terms of arrangement, beat and style and a new

dimension that fit the current gospel dispensation. The creativity in the compositions is also commendable.

Some of the songs on the album include; Gya Su, Oye Nyame

and a host of others which are irresistible. In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Princess Ivy

said the title 93take over" reflected on some of the challenges

faced in life and that only God can take over these problems. She said it was not by might or power but God who takes

control in our life and all must have faith and believe in God for

success.

Princess Ivy said the zeal to sing was inspired by God and

hoped the Gospel songs would touch and transform many

souls because the spirit of God speaks powerfully. She noted that it has always been her dream to promote the

teachings of Christ through music. According to her, since it is good for the soul it was her

duty to compose music that would educate, entertain and

encourage everybody, including the downhearted. She stressed that the calibre of talented gospel music stars

in Ghana today tells of a brighter future for the Ghana's gospel

music industry.

Princess Ivy, a member of the Royal House Chapel, said

she started singing at the tender age with the Church Choir. Mr Nii Armarh, Public Relations Officer of Media Excel

Production, said the group produced the works of top Gospel

musicians like DSP Kofi Sarpong, Bernice Offei, Lizzy Okrah,

Esther Freeman and Amy Newman.
