Pope Skinny goes ‘solo’ after failed Shatta Wale-effect

After years of relying on Shatta Wale to climb to the top of the music industry, Asuoden Music president, Pope Skinny has defected from the camp of Shatta Wale and gone ‘solo’.

Pope Skinny had in the last few years aligned himself to Shatta Wale, appearing in his music videos, defending him against all odds and even going on tours with him, however it appears Pope Skinny has put an end to all these.

His defection from the camp of the SM president is based on the premise that his alliance and constant appearance alongside Shatta Wale has not had the expected effect he thought would have on his career.

Pope Skinny over the years was hoping that his alliance with Shatta Wale could help him revive his career and make it to the top but that has not been the case, forcing him to take matters into his own hands and go ‘solo’ with less or no collaborations with Shatta Wale. The artiste however took lessons from Shatta Wale who rebranded from Bandana and has also changed name to Asuoden God.

Asuoden God is embarking on a rigorous radio tour to promote himself. In the last couple of weeks, the Akuapem Rapper has been on Zylofon FM and a host of other stations all in a bid to rebrand and revive his career.

Pope Skinny had several collaborations with Shatta Wale including Hot Cake, Borga, Asuoden Music and Kp3kp3l3mi which were all hits but he was out-shinned by Shatta Wale.

Asembi.com has gathered that Pope Skinny would be releasing solo projects in the coming few days as he tries to revive his career.
