Her ways of doing gospel music has over the years raised some controversies as she mostly features secular artistes than her own gospel folks.

She seems to be the only female gospel musician to have gained the needed attention by featuring countless secular acts, the likes of Nero X, Ayesem, Akablay amongst others have all been on her songs by way of features, this time, Perpetual Didier A.K.A Gospel Striker is out with another banger which features Kumawood movie star Akrobeto and is already raising some controversies here and there.

The song which is currently the number one favorite of the Ghanaian public is geared on stirring more controversies as one can hear phrases like BIE GYA in a song believed to be a GOSPEL song. In an interview with Flex newspaper, Akwasi Boadi A.K.A Akrobeto when asked whether the song qualifies to be called a gospel song disclosed that;

“Anyone one who say’s Kurom Aye De is not a gospel song does not know music, go and see how pastors and their members are blazing with the song in their churches and so, if you are like Thomas in the bible, you better join than be too late,” she noted.

“The song is doing very well, we are on almost all the big stages in Ghana as I talk now, from Elwalk stadium, Accra Sports stadium, Kwahu and everywhere in the church. Kumasi, Takoradi, Accra, Koforidua I mean everywhere in the country,”he stated. When asked whether he asked permission from Achipalago before using the BIE GYA phrase, he said;

“No, I didn’t ask for any permission because, BIE means Open and GYA means fire and all that i meant was OPEN FIRE ON MY ENEMIES. Does the dictionary belong to Achipalago? If yes, then he can take me to court and i will meet him there” the actor fumed. Flex newspaper also got in touch with Perpetual Didier and asked her why she featured Akrobeto and not a gospel artistes and she had this to say.

“It’s by God’s grace, following my music you will realize that’s what i have been doing for a long time now. I did WAHENDZI MMRA with Nero X, Baba God good with Ayesem, Gye wo Buo with Akablay and now Kurom Aye De with Akrobeto and this is not the last, hold on for more surprises,” he stated.

“I know many will critique me for doing this but the reason is simple, the greatest worker of Christ was not even a disciple, do you know why he was the greatest worker? Because he went to places no one dared to go and won souls for Christ and that is my dream, to be like Paul. Since i started this genre as a gospel artiste, my songs are everywhere and I am amazed at the kind of reception i get on those unusual stages for gospel artiste. People should watch out for more great works on social media by following me,” he noted.

Perpetual had this message for her fans and critics: “It will surprise you most of my critics are from the church, just like Jesus Christ.

Don’t forget the Pharisees were also in the church. I love everybody both my critics and fans and I will ask them to continue supporting my ministry. My primary mission is to win hard core souls for Christ and mind you, just like Akrobeto has been saying, Kurom Aye De is for winners and not for losers but if you receive the message into your life, KUROM BEYE DE AMA WO!! My Rainbow videos and audio albums are also out, Kurom Aye De, Wahendzi Mmra and a host of others are also available on it.”
