Host of Morning Starr on Starr FM, Francis Abban has said that people’s brain open up in the morning and that is why he chose to host the morning show everyday so that he can be part of that experience.

“Morning radio has been something that I’ve always been passionate about. In the morning that is where people’s brains start to open and I want to be part of that experience,” he explained.

Recounting his journey in Journalism with some 30 young business leaders in Accra, Francis Abban said because he was curious about everything and wanted to know more, he was always asking questions.

He said, without any qualification in his journey, he was given an appointment in a radio newsroom just to learn on the job and that has groomed him into a better journalist.

“My journey in journalism started by just walking to a station and saying I may not have qualification but I want to do radio; I want to learn,” he said.

He added that when he was given the opportunity, he learnt everything from the radio station’s newsroom.

“For two years, I was an intern in the newsroom learning. Going at 5am and closing at 10pm. I am the first to arrive and I am the last to leave. I asked all questions in that room every time because I want to know and I want to be the best in the sector” he narrated.

He challenged the young entrepreneurs to be more determined and work harder in order to make great impacts in society.
