Osofo's Daughter Caught Stealing Necklace In A Jewellery Shop

The saying that children of men of god are worse than ordinary children in terms of discipline came to real display on Valentine’s Day at Dansoman, a suburb of Accra. A daughter of a Minister of God, Doris Kankam, 23, was caught stealing a necklace from the royal gifts shop, at Akokofoto at Dansoman.

Doris went to the gift shop to buy Jewellery. As the salesgirl was attending to Doris, another customer came to the shop.

The sales girl left Doris while attending to the customer. Doris having realized the sales girl was busy stole one of the necklaces and slipped it into her handbag.

Unfortunately for her, one of the customers saw her and informed the salesgirl. The sales girl announced the missing necklace from the jewellery section of the shop but everybody including Doris denied taking it.

The salesgirl insisted on searching all the customers before they leave, which they all agreed. When Doris’ handbag was searched, the necklace was found in it. She was taken outside the shop and passers by who heard of the incident gathered around hooting and booing at her.

As some people were pleading on her behalf, others were saying, “ ei Osofo ba po ye wi”, meaning even a pastors daughter is a thief.

Some good Samaritans took Doris, who had shamefully covered her face, away from the crowd.
