Opinion: Juliet Ibrahim & ex-husband are on ‘temporal break’

I have tried to think about that solemn moment that Juliet Ibrahim and ex-husband Kwadwo Safo Jnr came together and what could be going through their minds at the Accra International Conference Center during the Hennessy Artistry Concert.

When he arrived, I was not expecting a ‘celebrity type’ of person (from the persona that has being built in my head) He was well dressed, neat, handsome, nice Afro hair; everything about Juliet’s man, socially was on point.

Few minutes later, Juliet Ibrahim arrived, she was greeted with normal paparazzi and off she was able to figure out where the guy was concealed at the Hennessy lounge. That gesture alone proved the power of love and how it can bind us, she was once again submissive as she walked majestically to him, and he stood up immediately he saw her coming to receive him into his bosom.

Now I write not to entertain you but to rejoice on that reunion, initially I argued that it was not the ex-husband. I have not seen him in real life before. I recall seeing a picture of him when news broke they were no more in marital union but I could not connect the two.

We understand that each is trying to continue their individual ambition and desires and not dwell on past issues but truth be said, no amount of entertainment, business or social success can compensate for failure in the home or family.

I don’t know what caused their divorce but something must have connected the two in the first place, something must have motivated them to come together as one. Whatever initiated the ‘temporal’ collapse of that fine Union is not stronger than the things that bind them.

From my perspective as an ardent observer of issues, there is hope for Juliet Ibrahim and the ex-husband. They can’t deny that there is no love burning in their hearts even at the present time. They coming together and displaying all affectionate connection in a season when love is in the air- Naa Ashokor just got married, KOD reaffirms his love to the spouse, 2Face confirms his fidelity to wife and of course the wife cheered him from among the crowd- it is imperative therefore that the two enjoy the influence of Cupid.

As if the meeting was no coincidence, credible information reveal the two sat together sipping Hennessy while enjoying the artistry show. Remember she entered into the main hall first and was re-joined by the man who was able to figure out where she was seated amidst the crowd. Both will stand at the same time and dance and laugh. They had a good time, rekindled their urge for each other’s company.

Now it is obvious that they departed separately but one cannot determine if they ended up in the same destination.

A night of music, Hennessy and romance may not terminate without follow up. The mystery part of the early morning remains to be revealed by Juliet and her man.
