The boys of One Direction are directing their fans to their do-gooding ways. Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne spent the past few days volunteering in Ghana as part of their involvement with the U.K. charity organization Comic Relief, and the trip clearly made an impact on the young stars.
The handsome boy-banders visited the impoverished village of Accra and took to Twitter to detail their eye-opening experience.
"Just arrived back from Accra,Ghana! Best life experience ever! This @rednoseday please get involved!," Niall posted on his micro-blogging page.
"I've seen the slums right in front of me! This is no joke! They really need your help! Poverty is real!," he wrote with sincere enthusiasm. "Massive thanks to @rednoseday for taking us to Ghana! It was incredible! Real eye opener! We take so much for granted over here!"
But Niall wasn't the only 1D member to document his experience on social media. Newly single Harry Styles also posted on his Twitter account after traveling to the poverty-stricken town:
"Today was the most amazing day I've had so far..In my life ever," he tweeted on the same night his former flame Taylor Swift rocked her first red carpet since their split.
The chart-topping singers have reportedly recorded a cover of Blondie's "One Way or Another" to help raise money for the Comic Relief fund. This year's Red Nose Day—which encourages people to "do something funny for money"—will take place on March 15.
