Okoro wraps Ghana Must Go with Osuofia

Popular Ghanaian actress Yvonne Okoro is back on the movie production scene and just wrapped up the shoot for a new drama movie titled, Ghana Must Go.

Directed by Frank Rajah, the movie features some of Africa’s favourite stars from both Ghana and Nigeria.

Among them are Nollywood’s comic actor Nkem Owoh aka Osuofia, Ike Ogbonna, Blossom Chukwujekwu and a host of others.

The movie’s shoot was wrapped sometime last week and its release date is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Yvonne Okoro last wowed Ghana’s movie industry in 2012 with her first self-produced movie, The Contract.

It was directed by Shirley Frimpong Manso and later released on DVD.

The movie broke premiering records in Ghana at the time. It was the first Ghanaian movie to screen at international ReelWorld Film Festival in Canada.

Later, it received multiple nominations at the 2013 African Movie Academy Awards and won awards at Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCAs).

The Contract was also the first Ghanaian movie to star a South African actor—Hlomla Dandala.
