Okoro, Shirley Frimpong-Manso, others nominated for 2014 AMVCA

Yvonne Okoro’s first self-produced movie Contract came up for mention too many times on during yesterday’s unveiling ceremony of nominees for the 2014 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards in Lagos. (See Full list of nominees below).

Other Ghanaian nominees on the night include Frank Rajah Arase, Chris Attoh and Brother Ken Attoh, Shirley Frimpong-Manso (Ken’s wife of Ken), Pascal Manfo, Jackie Appiah and Majid Michel.

The announcement was made during AfricaMagic’s 10th Anniversary celebration event which took place tonight at the Landmark Village in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event was jointly hosted by Vimbai Mutinhiri and Lawrence Maleka, and IK Osakioduwa.

With 27 categories in total, the AMVCAs this year include 9 categories where viewers have the power to select the winner by voting via SMS or online at www.amvcaawards.dstv.com. The winners in the other technically focused categories will be selected by an expert panel of judges.
