A close associate of Ofori Amponsah, Kofi B has said that the quest to feed on the tithe and offertories of some ignorant Ghanaians led Ofori Amponsah into Ministry.

Ofori Amponsah in 2012 announced that he had given his life to Christ and as such, he had quit producing music.

The artiste started a Church which had a number of appreciable members.

But some few years down the line, Ofori Amponsah could not stand the work of God and moved back into producing secular music.

He is reported to have said in an interview that “I was not a pastor because I was never ordained; I just believed in God and decided to do his work”.

Speaking on the swift u-turn made by Ofori Amponsah, Kofi B who is a close associate said “I laughed when he said he had become a pastor. He was after their offertories and tithes. I met one of his members and dared him that if the church lasted for more than a year, he should come for money”.
