Ghanaian musician, Obrafour, is set to establish a modern educational facility at Kwahu-Abene to serve as a model of education in the Kwahu East District of the Eastern Region.
The legendary rapper, who also hails from the region, disclosed this when he paid a courtesy call on traditional leaders of the Kwahu paramountcy.
According to the star, his not-for-profit organization, Obrafofro Nti Foundation, will transform the main primary school in the area; Abene Methodist Basic school, to become a beacon of education in the Eastern Region.
As part of the project, the Foundation will also build more modern facilities, including an information centre and computer laboratory, befitting of contemporary educational standards.
Obrafour, widely considered as Ghana’s finest rapper of all time, also met the Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II-led paramountcy to officially inform his people of the much-anticipated Pae Mu Ka@20 Concert, scheduled for Saturday, November 9, at the Accra International Conference Centre.
The concert will feature several new generation A-list acts who were inspired by the Pae Mu Ka album. They include Sarkodie, Pappy Kojo, Manifest and Medikal.
The Pae Mu Ka album, released in 1999, is still acknowledged today as Ghana’s most iconic rap album of all time.
The highlight of the legendary entertainer’s visit to the palace was when the traditional leaders amusingly sang and rapped along to several hits from the album, including title track Pae Mu Ka, Yaanom and Kwame Nkrumah.
