Ghanaian musician George Offei, popularly known as OGee, said he is confident that New Patriotic Party (NPP) figure Kennedy Agyapong will eventually join the Base Party, adding that the group welcomes his political ideology.
Speaking on Lawson FM, Ogee said The Base want Kennedy Agyapong to join the party, although he acknowledged that the politician’s recent public comments suggested he remained aligned with the NPP.
“He will come and join. I am saying this because we, the party members of The Base, want him there,” Ogee said.
He explained that the group’s interest in Kennedy Agyapong stemmed from what its members considered a similarity between his ideology and their political aspirations.
“But even looking at the last statement he made, it shows he is still an NPP. But we, The Base, love his ideology; that is why we want him to come and join us,” he stated.
He also warned against attacks from NPP supporters on Kennedy Agyapong over the possibility of him joining the group, insisting that The Base would stand by its position.
