Northern part of Volta Region to receive clear GTV signal

Accra, July 4, GNA- The northern part of the Volta Region would soon receive clear Ghana Television (GTV) signals baring any misfortune, Mr Dan Botwe, Minister of Information, told Parliament on Thursday. "A 10 kilowatt television transmitter had been sited at Kete Krachi to cover the northern part of the Volta Region under the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) expansion programme."

The Minister, who was answering questions in Parliament, said the GBC would dispatch a technical team to Kete Krachi, next week to check the equipment.

"That technical audit would indicate a date of commissioning and an improvement in the TV transmission."

Mr Gershon Gbediame, NDC-Nkwanta South, had asked the Minister when satellite television would be extended to the Nkwanta District.
