Nobody comes close to Jay So – Da’ Hammer

Chief Executive Officer of The Last Two Music Group, Edward Nana Poku Osei, known in showbiz circles as Da Hammer, has sung praises of music producer, Jay So.

Hammer in an interview on Joy FM’s Cosmopolitan Mix remarked that he has been wowed by the productions of Jay So and always wondered how a young man of his age has such prowess.

“The guys are playing some amazing beats. I’m surprised. There is one person, I’m his biggest fun. His name is Jay So. Nobody in this country comes close to his mind [level of creativity]. He is amazing. I hear the beat and I’m like, ‘are you sure you played it?’ Because it doesn’t sound like what a young boy who stays at Adenta will play. You need to live in New York and even in New York, you would have to pass through School of Recording Arts and stuffs like that,” he said.

The record producer indicated that he gets excited whenever he sees young music producers exhibit their talents. He was convinced these producers will excel as their productions are simply amazing.

Among the list of producers, Hammer chose Killbeatz as his all-time favourite.

“Some of the new boys like Fortune Dane, Slimbo, King of Accra are coming out with some new stuffs and I’m feeling it. All-time favourite is Killbeatz. I think he is great,” he said.

Jay So, known in private life as Paul Nuamah Donkor, produced about 70% of Sarkodie’s maiden album, Makye. He also produced Pizza and Burger, M.anifest’s Balotelli, among others.

In 2016, he released his debut solo album titled Making Tasha Proud where he produced most of the songs.
